Balls for All (Boba Guys in the Community)
Balls for All: Boba Guys in the Community
Hi everyone,
At Boba Guys, we are proud to be one of the leaders in the communities that we serve in. Since our inception in 2011, we’ve given away nearly $200K back to the community through various programs.
We like to give back in four main ways:
Store Opening Donations - Since the very first store in the Mission District (San Francisco), we’ve donated ALL opening day profits to local non-profits including Little Brothers SF, The Boys & Girls Club of the Peninsula, San Carlos Education Foundation, and many more.
Community Grants and In-Kind Donations - We also regularly donate to teachers and local schools via in-kind donations and various sponsorships. We give away $1K per region every quarter in addition to $20K/year free product to organizations like Asian Inc., CAAM, APEX for Youth, and Hamilton Families. As we scale, we will be creating a form for you to make a request. Stay tuned!
Small Business and Entrepreneur Programs - In addition to our city, state, and federal advocacy initiatives for SMBs, we also invest directly into programs that equip future leaders and business owners for long-term success. You can learn more through our partner organizations like National ACE. Please check out Bloom with Boba Guys which sets aside $30K to help underrepresented and marginalized business owners.
2019 HOliday “Balls for ALl” recap
In 2019, we had our biggest holiday campaign yet. We worked with various local organizations in San Francisco to give away nearly $30K in meals and boba to the community. We did it for FIVE straight weeks! It wasn’t easy, but we are proud to bridge cultures and engage deeper with those around us. Boba Guys and Gals unite!
For more of the video recaps… you can watch below:
Week 1: Schell-Vista Fire Department
Week 2: Peninsula Del Rey Retirement Community
Week 3: Mobilize Love (Meals to the Bayview Community)
Week 4: Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula
And if you really wanna go way back, you can see the original “Balls for All” video in 2015 that started it all!
Organizations We Love
We are committed to the communities that make us who we are today. These are the organizations we’ve donated directly to over the years. In addition to donating opening weekend profits to local non-profits, we also make contributions to charity and cultural institutions. Our general areas of giving are: helping marginalized communities, climate change, education, and diversity programs across industries.
We will continue to grow and diversify our impact, but this is a transparent list of who we’ve worked with thus far.
We will keep this updated often. We have donated between $50K-$100K on an annual basis since 2017.
